Clearing the cobwebs

and hopefully, organizing the house!

Who am I kidding.  I’m on the hamster wheel, folks, and we’re running, we’re running, we’re running….

I did have a pretty big accomplishment today, though and that would be cleaning out and organizing the fridge and pantry.  I still have the deep freee and regular freezer to attack (and the cupboards, but who’s counting?), but I’ll get to those later.  Lets just sit back and congratulate me on a job well done.

Okay, fine, its just a pantry.

Let me tell you, though, its a good thing I organized all the foodstuffs, because I came to find some very important things:

1.  In the event of the apocolypse, we’re covered.  Or, at least, we’ll eat if we can’t get to the grocery store because of a substantial snow storm.

2.  If said apocolypse brings about a small band of vampires (I know, what vampires? you’re thinking– these things bring zombies, right?), we’ll be fine, because we have an inordinate amount of fresh garlic.  Apparently, its one of those things that I say, “oh, I should pick some up in case we don’t have any” every.single.time I go to the grocery store.

3.  Apparently, I did the same thing with large containers of parmesean cheese.  Mabye I’m just in the mood for some Italian?

4.  I need more chicken stock.

Um, okay!  I really should blog while tired. 🙂
